How does PDQ use your data?
Customer prompts and AI-generated content are processed solely to deliver the requested feature (for example, Package agent uses your prompt to draft a package).
How do I opt out of AI training on my data?
By contract, our AI Subprocessors do not use Customer Data to train their models. No customer opt-in or opt-out is required. See Question 5.
Can I disable AI features?
Yes, 100% of AI features can be disabled in the Settings AI Tools menu.

How does PDQ protect my data?
All requests to AI providers are sent over TLS 1.2 and 1.3.
Is Customer Data ever shared with 3rd-party providers to train their models?
By default, PDQ and its AI Subprocessors do not use Customer Data to train any models. We specifically have contractual agreements in place with our AI Subprocessors that prohibit the use of Customer Data to train their models.
What models does PDQ use?
PDQ currently utilizes large language models (LLMs) from OpenAI via API. We continuously evaluate LLM providers and their models to provide the highest quality experience to our PDQ users. Any third parties that process Customer Data will be published in our Subprocessor section.
How will I be notified if PDQ changes AI providers or data handling?
Check https://www.pdq.com/security/ for any changes
Who owns the output, and who is responsible for it?
AI output is advisory. The user reviews and approves all AI-generated packages, scripts, and content.
