Product Update: Remote Desktop Settings Memory + 78 New Library Packages

With this update, the PDQ Connect Remote desktop viewer client remembers settings set by individual users, making the experience consistent from one session to another. This update also includes an additional 78 new packages in the PDQ package library - giving sysadmins even more options to automate deployments and remediate vulnerabilities.

Remote Desktop Viewer Memory:

Every sysadmin has a slightly different way that they prefer remote desktop to behave. The PDQ Connect remote desktop viewer makes it easy for sysadmins to adjust their settings - but previously those settings were not saved between sessions, leading to the sysadmin to have to readjust settings between each session. With this update, settings are automatically saved, eliminating the need to re-set each setting between sessions.

This update requires that sysadmins update the installed remote desktop viewer app, this is done manually - a link is provided when a remote session is started using the older viewer app. If a sysadmin has never used the viewer before, the latest version is automatically installed when a remote session is started.

78 New Library Packages:

The PDQ package library is at the heart of how sysadmins can easily automate deployments and resolve vulnerabilities. With this update, 79 additional packages have been added to the PDQ package library. These are fully supported PDQ packages, receiving the same automatic updates and automation options as other packages in the library.
