Static groups
Overview
Groups can be created from the Devices page by clicking Create group, and electing the desired group type from the dropdown.
A static group is a group of one or more selected devices which are added to the group via manual selection. After a static group is created, the membership of the group will only change if a user adds or removes a device.

Create a static group
To create a static group, click the Create group button on the Devices page.
In the Create group window, enter a name for your group, and select a Type of Static.
In the Devices list (left), select the specific devices you want to add to the group, and click the right-arrow to move them into the Selected devices list.
In the Selected devices list, confirm that the group selection is correct.
If you wish to remove any devices from Selected devices, check the box of the devices you wish to remove, and click the left arrow to move them back into the left pane (and out of the group).
When the selected devices list is correct and verified, click Create to create the group.
Edit an existing static group
You can edit the group after it is created by locating it in the Groups list on the left navigation bar, and clicking the kebab menu (⁝) next to the group name, and clicking Edit group.
The Edit group window will open, which behaves identically to the Create group window above. When you have finished updating the group membership, click Save to save your changes.
Create a static group by uploading a CSV
To create a static group by uploading a CSV, click the Create group button on the Devices page, and then click Upload .csv.
In the Import .csv window, click Download template to download a csv template.
Download and save the template file (device-import-template.csv), and open it in a text or spreadsheet editor.
The CSV contains two column headers - NAME and HOSTNAME.
Fill in the CSV with devices. You can consult the Name and Hostname columns on the Devices page if needed.
When you have added all of the devices, click Save, and then you can use the Click to upload link or drag and drop the edited CSV into the Import .csv window.
The CSV will be processed, and the Status column will indicate whether the targeted device was found or not.
Confirm the device list is correct as is, and click Create. All found devices will be added.
If any devices are not found, you can optionally Copy devices not found - this will copy the CSV data for the non-matching devices to the clipboard. You can paste them into a text editor, and then correct any errors and resubmit as needed.
