Integration with PDQ Deploy and inventory

PDQ connect has some functionality from Deploy and some from Inventory. (Accent on "some").

Would it ever be integrated with PDQ deploy and inventory or it will be separate product? In case if it separate product will it have similar functionality? as PDQ Deploy/Inventory?

  • We have an article that compares PDQ Connect with Deploy & Inventory that might be helpful to show you how the different features stack up: How PDQ Connect compares to Deploy & Inventory | PDQ | PDQ

Connect is a separate product from Deploy and Inventory. To borrow an answer to a similar question regarding integration from our recent reddit AMA

We're really interested in integrating the products together as much as possible. We realize having to swap between products to manage a device isn't ideal. Right now we're working on getting your identity common between all PDQ products - so you'd use the same authentication to get into any PDQ product - but that's just a start for integrating.

To be transparent, we've struggled with the 'how'. Integrating Connect with Deploy & Inventory is tough, because Deploy/Inventory don't have an accessible API and are not always online, whereas Connect is always online. They talk to devices differently, etc.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what features you'd want to see pulled from one product and put into another, or how you might see an integration working.

  • My apologies if this isn't related to the "integration" discussion.  I just discovered the existence of PDQ Connect today.  I'm intrigued by the possibilities!

I've been using PDQ Deploy and Inventory for a few years and I have many custom deployments.  Is it possible to import those into PDQ Connect?
