Looking for tips and tricks for installing AutoCAD 2023 with PDQ Connect

Is anyone sitting on a good guide or able to brain-dump how they got AutoCAD 2023 installs via PDQ Deploy so users can register it to their own AutoDesk account on first login?

I've been trying just a simple AutoCAD install with -q but that seems to only prepare the install and then it prompts backup again. Not sure what path to pick for the deployment version since its in PDQ Connect.

  • Hi Jonas.  Were you able to figure this out?  I can offer some assistance if you still need it.

  • Hey Jonas. I'm new to Connect, but I have an install package that works up until the point I want to clean the install files from the machine. I upload the installer folder as a zip, which you might already be doing, and then run an Expand Archive Powershell command. After that, I run the .bat file with changed pathing to point to the folder I downloaded and extracted to. It installs fine, and running the first time prompts for a login by the user. I only have trouble cleaning the files off after I'm done. It gets most but not all due to an 'Access is denied' error.

Maybe you've already figure it out since there hasn't been a response in a couple of months.
